Minerals We Consult On

At Landmax Minerals our primary mission is to share this wealth of knowledge with emerging practitioners in the industry to ensure their business is both successful and sustainable.

Through our consultancy services, we offer guidance and expertise in the following key minerals:

Calcium Carbonate

A versatile source of Calcium for animal feeds, fertilizers, cement, and environmental applications in addition to its common use as a pigment in various applications like paper, paint, adhesives, and sealants.

Calcium Carbonate also has a strong presence in the manufacture of packaging (paper, board, film & composites) and polymeric based materials including Elastomers, Thermosets and PVC.

Perlite

This natural volcanic glass in an expanded form is used as a lightweight filler in construction products, a filter aid, and as a substrate in horticulture.

There are also a number of emerging technologies and industrial applications where perlite can substitute for other minerals and materials.

Dolomite

A Calcium-Magnesium Industrial Carbonate which also acts as a filler in paints, adhesives and sealants but also as a source of Magnesium in environmental treatment applications, agriculture, steel production, refractories and the manufacture of Burnt Dolomite.

Barytes

A major constituent of drilling fluids, an inert filler in paints and industrial coatings and certain specialised applications.

Zeolite

The Zeolite family of minerals are often referred to as ‘molecular sieves’ given their ability to target specific elements and materials due to their chemical and physical properties.

Naturally occurring minerals such as Clinoptilolite and Mordenite find use as constituents in detergents, polymers, environmental applications and animal feedstuffs as well as agrochemicals and specialist industrial applications.

Mica

In this family of minerals we find Muscovite and Phlogopite which are hydrated aluminium silicates and most commonly used in industrial coatings, polymer based systems and applications where excellent thermal properties are required.

Clays

This Mineral Family includes Kaolinite, Montmorillonite, Sepiolite, Bentonite and Attapulgite.

They are found throughout the world and have a range of different physical and chemical properties which are useful to society in many applications including the production of ceramics, paper, refractories, drilling fluids, building products, animal feedstuffs, pet care, environmental protection and cosmetics.
